Redis is an open source, in-memory data structure, key-value store, used as a database, cache and message broker. It&#x27;s super fast and it can be used for a lot of cool things. In this course, we will practically take a look at what Redis is, and how you can use it with Node.js
There are many npm modules that connect Node.js with Redis. We’ll be focusing on redis-cli and ioredis, for interacting with Redis and understanding why we need it.
