About This Course

This course is designed to equip learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully pass the Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) exam. This course takes a hands-on approach and covers various practical exercises and scenarios to familiarize candidates with real-world Kubernetes application deployment, management, and troubleshooting.

They will learn to work with various Kubernetes resources such as Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and Secrets. Throughout the course, learners will acquire the skills needed to troubleshoot common Kubernetes application issues and work with Persistent Volumes (PVs) and Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs). They will also learn how to set up and use ConfigMaps and Secrets for application configuration, explore multi-container Pod design patterns and container communication, schedule and deploy applications to specific nodes, handle security contexts and resource limits for Pods, use Jobs and CronJobs for batch processing, and understand the role of ServiceAccounts in managing access to Kubernetes resources. Lastly, participants will practice implementing network policies to control communication between Pods.
