    in last coding assignment , although my code was correct , it did not show "Yes solidity is fun " which was declared in state variable. So at last I copied solution and paste it . To move to next video

    Sir .In "Program on string" in local variable function statement we used "returns(string memory)" because local variable is stored at memory level. why did we use " returns(string memory) " and why not " returns(string ) " at state variable function statement .

    In "Program on string" why are we using "view" for returnLocalVariable function. We are not reading or writing a state variable, should not we use "pure"?? Also the test is not getting passed if I write pure.

    // SPDX-License-Identifier: MIT pragma solidity >=0.5.0 <0.9.0;

    contract String {

    function returnLocalVariable() public pure returns(string memory){ string memory locale = "Yes solidity is exciting"; return locale;} }

    In this code memory is also costing gas . why is that the case?
