How to Participate in the codedamn Interactive Course Challenge?

Participating in the challenge is simple. Follow these steps:

From the list of eligible topics below, pick the one which you like.

Build and publish your interactive coding course using the codedamn platform.
Submit your course for review before April 3rd, 2023.
If your course is approved, you will receive a $1000 reward, and your course will be published on the platform!

What are the Eligibility Requirements?

Your course must be related to one of our eligible topics (table below)
Your course should be made fully by you (not migrated by us). We are happy to help you understand any part on the platform, but it should be created by you.
You should ensure the following quality standards are met:
- The course duration should be at least 2.5 hours.
- If there are videos in the course, the audio/video should be high quality.
  - Video: At least 1080p resolution.
  - Audio: Shouldn’t have background noise, be low in volume
  - Tutorial: Should be crisp, to the point, and be valuable to the end user.
- The course should have at least 30% of interactive content (labs) and spread throughout the course.
- At least 50% of the interactive content (labs) should be evaluative. This means labs with no challenge, and test cases to pass would be counted as interactive labs but wouldn’t be counted as evaluative interactive labs.

What does “related frameworks/libraries” mean?

This statement means that all frameworks for related programming languages are eligible. For example, in the case of JavaScript, this means everything from React, Angular, Vue.js, Next.js, Vitest, Svelte, Bun, Node.js, etc. is eligible. The same goes for other programming languages.

How will the Courses be Reviewed?

Courses will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

Content quality - The course must provide valuable information that is easy to understand and relevant to the topic.
Interactive experience - The course must incorporate hands-on labs and projects to provide an interactive learning experience.
User experience - The course must be easy to navigate and have a user-friendly interface.
Topic relevancy - How relevant and popular your course topic is according to current standards.

Note that we will pick maximum of 10 winners in this challenge (hence the prize pool restricted to $10,000)

What are the Key Dates for the Challenge?

The codedamn Interactive Course Challenge will run from February 12th, 2023 to April 3rd, 2023. All courses must be submitted for review by April 3rd, 2023.

We’ll announce the results by 8th April 2023.

How will payouts be processed?

Your payments will be sent directly to your bank account details filled by you on the Instructor Settings page:

Note that the exchange rates we use for USD/EUR/other currencies are in accordance with the latest exchange rates available in the market. There might be a 1-3% of discrepancy with the amount you receive.
